\nHawaiian Airlines and Mechanics Agree on New Contract<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\n \n<\/p>\n

\nWith all the talk about various airlines and their unions butting heads over the last few weeks, it is nice to report about an airline and their workers that have actually come to an agreement on new contracts for a change.\n<\/p>\n

\n \n<\/p>\n

\nInternational Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, District 142 has agreed to a tentative deal with Hawaiian Airlines that will provide workers with better compensation and the company with operational improvements.\n<\/p>\n

\n \n<\/p>\n

\nUnder the new deal, which members of the union plan to vote on within the coming weeks, 600 Hawaiian employees working as aircraft inspectors, mechanics, line service, cleaners, and contract service personnel will receive an increase in pay.\n<\/p>\n

\n \n<\/p>\n

\nThis new deal would mark the last new union contract that the Aloha State airline would need to worry about for awhile. Hawaiian has already worked out new labor contracts with all their other unions representing its pilots, flight attendants,
\nclerical workers, and dispatchers.\n<\/p>\n
