A trip to Boston doesn\u2019t have to be pricey. Sure, there are lots of upscale hotels and restaurants available to help you indulge in a bit of luxury, but Boston also offers a number of inexpensive ways to enjoy the city. Remember: saving a few dollars lets you do more while you\u2019re there! Let\u2019s take a look at five great Boston<\/strong> bargains:<\/p>\n

Take the T:<\/strong> The trip from Logan Airport into Boston doesn\u2019t have to be expensive and lengthened by a traffic jam. Take the subway (called the \u201cT\u201d). You can get on at the airport by taking a shuttle bus to the subway station, and then ride it into the city. You\u2019ll be on the Blue Line, and there\u2019s only one stop before you reach downtown.<\/p>\n

Pizza:<\/strong> There\u2019s plenty of pizza throughout Boston, and everyone has a favorite. Of course, some of those famous shops in the North End can get a little pricey. Instead, head over to Haymarket Pizza<\/a> for an enormous slice. Bring cash, and brace yourself: each slice will set you back $1.50 ($2 for one topping, $2.50 for two toppings). And, it\u2019s good. Seriously.<\/p>\n

See it all, FREE:<\/strong> To really take in the entire city, walk the Freedom Trail<\/a>. It\u2019s two and a half miles long and stops at 16 major national historic sites and takes you through five neighborhoods. The best part is that you\u2019ll discover other stuff to check out in Boston between the stops, making the Freedom Trail a great way to discover your own off-the-beaten-path spots in Boston.<\/p>\n

The cheapest boat ride:<\/strong> When you are finished with the Freedom Trail at Boston Common<\/a>, cross the street to the Boston Public Garden<\/a> and ride a Swan Boat<\/a>. A 15-minute jaunt will only set you back $2.75 ($1.50 for kids).<\/p>\n

The best views:<\/strong> The two best views of Boston look right at each other. Start at Rowe\u2019s Wharf in Boston<\/a>, right on the Charles River. You\u2019ll recognize it from just about every television shot you\u2019ve seen of Boston. From there, you can catch the water taxi to Logan Airport, in East Boston. It will only set you back $10, and you\u2019ll have incredible views all the way to East Boston, where you\u2019ll be able to take in the entire Boston waterfront.<\/p>\n
