\n<\/span>Trout Lake Farmers Market<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\nDowntown Vancouver is home to John Hendry Park where in the
\ncenter sits Trout Lake. Since 1995, farmers and vendors have been selling their
\nproduce and wares to residents and visitors passing through Vancouver. Over the
\nyears, the market has grown from a place to shop to a community institution.
\nThe "Trout Lake" farmers' market is best known for a wide variety of
\norganic- and conventionally-grown produce as well as greenhouse items, meats,
\ncheese, seafood, and prepared foods. Local craftsman also sell handmade items
\nthere, making this market a great place to purchase a special souvenir. This
\nmarket is very family-friendly with balloon artists, face-painters, and
\nperforming musicians. Vehicle parking at the park is limited, and community
\norganizers recommend biking or taking public transportation to get to John
\nHendry Park. The market is open Saturdays until October 19.<\/p>\n

\nKitsi<\/strong>lano Farmers
\nMarket<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\nEvery Sunday at 10th Avenue and Larch Street at the Kits
\nCommunity Centre in downtown Vancouver, the corner of this street fills up with
\nfresh food and people. The Kitsilano market also sells a massive range of
\norganic and conventional produce as well as baked goods, preserves, ethnic
\nfoods, beauty products, flowers, crafts, jewelry, fresh cider, homemade pies
\nand granola—you name it, someone at Kitsilano has made it. Hot coffee and hot
\nfood are for sale every weekend, so grab a cup and plate and take a stroll
\naround the market or sit and relax to enjoy the day. The market is open until
\nSunday, October 20.\n<\/p>\n

\nMarket<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n
