\nWhile employees at the Dallas hub work to slowly resume flight operations, other major airports across the country are bracing for the impacts of what could be this year’s largest winter storm.\n<\/p>\n

\nThe National Weather Service is predicting that over the next 48 hours, winter weather will affect over 20 states across a swath from New Mexico to New England.\n<\/p>\n
\n \n<\/p>\n
\nWhile some will see heavy snow, others will experience a dangerous ice storm.\n<\/p>\n
\n \n<\/p>\n
\nWorkers at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport are preparing for the worst, as snowfall amounts there could break a 40-year-old record.\n<\/p>\n
\n \n<\/p>\n
\nAccording to flight-tracking company FlightAware, airlines have already canceled more than 3,000 flights across the country as a result of the storm.\n<\/p>\n
\n \n<\/p>\n
\nThat number is expected to grow substantially over the next two days.\n<\/p>\n
