Folks, winter has come. It’s super cold in the Northern hemisphere right now. Need a little inspiration to be happy, despite the cold weather blues?

Head to the Harbin International Snow and Ice Festival in Northern China! It’s gorgeous, it’s winter-tastic, and it’s a great excuse to head to Asia.

The festival happens every year in Harbin, the capital city of China‘s Heilongjiang Province. Very nearby to Russia, you’ll feel the cultural influence of their Northern neighbor everywhere you go, from the architecture to the food and more. Awesome!

The festival includes ridiculously impressive castles, sculptures, and more, all made of ice and snow. Make sure to check out the view at night, when these gorgeous structures are lit up with multi-colored lights.
