Potential visitors of Hawaii are being offered the opportunity to view hotels, shops and tourist attractions in three dimensions and from different angles in an interactive tour provided by a new website backed by the eBay found Pierre Omidyar.
Three dozen hotels and stores have been signed by the company and can be viewed on the site along with almost 2,000 beaches, museums and other tourist attractions. Sites like Kilauea volcano on the Big Island and Saint Damien’s grave can be explored through the company’s new website.
Hawaii is just the first of 10 states for which the Honolulu-based company has plans to build similar 3-D portal incorporating Google Earth technology.
