Long Weekend in London Contest Rules, Terms & Conditions

By participating, all entrants agree to be bound by the official rules. Entries made by any mass duplication, automatic, robotic, or programmed method, or through any sweepstakes entry, notification, or related service, or in any manner not in compliance with the requirements of these Official Rules are invalid and will be disqualified.

CheapOair is not responsible for any lost, late, incomplete entries, electronic or telecommunication miscommunication or failure, technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, or unauthorized human intervention which may limit an entrant's ability to participate.

CheapOair reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the contest at any time should virus, bugs or other causes beyond the control of CheapOair corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the contest. All entries become the property of CheapOair and will not be returned.

»Promotional Period
Five (5) days, starting Monday January 25, 2010 and ending Friday January 29, 2010.
»To Enter
Entry is limited to one per household per day. For five (5) days between Monday, January 25, 2010 and Friday, January 29, 2010, the CheapOair blog will post an article referencing the contest with a question. In order to enter, the reader must leave a comment to the blog post answering that day’s question. Two (2) entrants will be randomly selected from all the comments received for that day’s blog post and announced the following day between Tuesday, January 26, 2010 and Saturday, January 30, 2010. There will be ten (10) entrants in total eligible to win the grand prize and the grand prize drawing will be held on Tuesday February 2, 2010. There will be one (1) grand prize winner. CheapOair has final say in all matters relating to the contest and the winner.
»Prize Notification
The winner will be notified by Email. The winner must claim their prize and confirm their eligibility within seven (7) days of the announcement on Tuesday February 2, 2010. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to release CheapOair and its agencies from any and all liability for injuries and/or damages of any kind sustained in connection with the award of the prize. No prize substitutions except as provided herein. All local, state and federal taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

The prize is non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash. By accepting the prize, the winner consents to the use of his/her name, photo and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited.

The prize winner will be asked to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability/Publicity which must be signed and returned to CheapOair within seven (7) days of notification to receive the prize.
»Odds of Winning
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Entrants must be legal residents of the 50 United States (including the District of Columbia but excluding Puerto Rico and all other U.S. and foreign territories and possessions), reside and be physically present in the U.S. as of the date of entry through and including the date of awarding of prizes, and be 18 years or older as of the date of entry.

To be eligible, electronic entries must respond to that day’s London related blog post with a “Long Weekend in London” question of the day. Entries must be received and posted on the CheapOair blog between 8am EST and 6pm EST that particular day. Employees of CheapOair and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, retailers, advertising and promotion, judging and other coordinating agencies involved in the promotion and the immediate families of each are not eligible to enter. Void where prohibited by law. Subject to all federal, state and local law and regulations. By entering, you agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of CheapOair, which will be final.
Two (2) round-trip economy class tickets to London, England, three (3) nights at the base2stay hotel and two (2) Oyster cards (valued at $20 US each).

Prize / Coupon / Gift Certificate Redemption:

(a) The Prize is good for travel between February 10, 2010 and July 31, 2010. All travel must be completed by July 31, 2010.

(b) Airline ticket(s) must be booked at least twenty-one (21) days in advance and travel must be completed by July 31, 2010. Travel during weekdays such as on a Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Saturday may have a higher chance of availability. All tickets are subject to space availability.

(c) Tickets are valid for Economy Class roundtrip travel on flights from the carrier’s participating airports. United States government taxes/security fees, airport facility and fuel charges are the responsibility of the individual prizewinner.

(d) Blackout dates for air travel include March 13-20, 2010 & April 1-10, 2010. Hotel blackout dates may apply.

(e) Taxes and fuel surcharge will be advised once the ticket request is received. Taxes must be paid by check payable to the airline before tickets can be issued.

(f) Prize is non-transferable, cannot be resold, bartered, substituted or redeemed for cash and has no cash value if not used.
