Headquartered in Bratislava, SkyEurope Airlines was a low-cost airline. The airlines had its main base at M. R. Stefanik Airport in Bratislava, Slovakia and another base in Prague.
Operating short-haul scheduled and charter passenger services; SkyEurope was the first multi-based airline in Central Europe. It was declared as the best low-cost airline in Eastern Europe between August 2007 and July 2008. Though the airline announced on 22 June 2009, it had been granted creditor protection while it restructured its debts.
