Albanian Airlines ceased its operation in 2011. Based in Tirana, Albania, it was an international airline operating passenger flight services across top destinations in Europe. Albanian Airlines was established in May 1991 under the name of Arberia Airlines. Initially it was a private airline of politicians of communist Albania. Later it was renamed to Albanian Airlines, and in the year 1995, it opened operations for public. Albanian Airlines had a fleet size of 4 and served 9 destinations including Milan, Florence, Istanbul, Pisa, and Verona etc.
