Albanian Airlines was established in May 1991 under the name of Arberia Airlines. Initially it was a private airline of politicians of communist Albania. Later it was renamed to Albanian Airlines, and in the year 1995, it opened operations for public. Albanian Airlines had a fleet size of 4 and served 9 destinations including Milan, Florence, Istanbul, Pisa, and Verona etc.
