Ghana International Airlines ceased its operation on May 13, 2010. It was a national airline of Republic of Ghana, having a main base at Kotoka International Airport, Accra. Set up in 2004, it was a result of partnership between government of Ghana and a group of private international investors. The airline commenced its operations on October 29, 2005 with daily flights between Accra and London Gattwick Airport. With a fleet size of one aircraft, it operated scheduled and chartered passenger and cargo services, and flew to destinations including Dusseldorf, London and Accra.
