Kona is wonderful

Our visit to Kona involved performing a wedding for a couple who attend our Christian congregation. They chose Kona because they had never been there before and found it to be beautifully inviting with plenty to do. My wife and I found it to be beautiful as well. We stayed at the Marriott Resort and were able to explore the area behind the Marriott discovering sea turtles sunning themselves on the shore. I went deep sea fishing with High Noon out of Kona City and had a great time. Overall I have to say that my wife and I are going back to Kona and have already started saving for our return trip.

Making it to Kona

The Air Canada flight from Vancouver to Kahului was fine but when I landed I couldn't find the departure area for my flight in a Cessna to Kona. I asked three employees and information was closed so I ended up missing my flight. Finally, a baggage attendant started phoning around and discovered that I needed to be at an inter-island terminal and directed me out of the main terminal to it. My flight had gone but they had kept my suitcase. Fortunately, I was able to purchase a ticket with another small airline and get out that night. When I arrived in Kona I had to call a taxi in order to be taken to my destination as the people waiting for me had gone. I learned that I should have phone numbers of the airlines with me and turn my cell phone on when I have a problem. I am here for a month in Kona and its good, except the sunburn I got yesterday while snorkeling. Ouch.
