Traveling to Ireland was an awesome time! The people there were all very friendly, I had one of the very best trips of my life! Ireland is a beautiful country and very worth visiting.

I visited Dublin for about one week and had a fantastic time. Although the weather was, at times, unpredictable, I managed to stay warm and dry in the city's many cozy pubs. I also found the tourist attractions to be very entertaining. The Viking tour bus/boat was a great way to see the city and gave us an excuse to shout "Arrgh!" at bewildered pedestrians. The Guinness storehouse and The Old Jameson Distillery are two great touring options. Both tours give you the chance to tour their facility and to taste their product. At the Old Jameson Distillery you also have the chance to become a certified whiskey taster if you volunteer to participate at the beginning of the tour. You will be able to learn about and try three different whiskeys and learn what makes them different from each other. There is also a Leprechaun Museum in Dublin which is pretty amusing. In terms of eating out, the country is not particularly well known for their cuisine and can get pretty pricey. Cook at home if possible and save your euro for the pub. If you plan on staying in Dublin for a week or more, you may want to consider a day trip or overnight trip to Galway and the Cliffs of Moher. It is not too expensive, and well worth it. There are many bus tours from Galway that will stop and many picturesque spots along the way and provide you with a ton of information regarding the history of the area you are in. Other sightseeing suggestions include : Trinity college, National Museum of Archaeology and History, Bank of Ireland, Christ Church Cathedral, The Spire, Dublin Castle, Merrion Square, The National Gallery, St. Stephens Green, Leinster House, Phoenix Park and The Dublin Writers Museum.
