HEALTH
When traveling abroad one will always have a better trip if they are in good health. In order to make sure you stay healthy, before you go on your trip, you should check with one of the many Health websites that can be found on the internet. One of the best is the U.S. Center for Disease Control which can be found at www.cdc.gov/travel. Here you will find a great deal of information on which countries United States Citizens will want to take the most precautions (health wise) with.

EMBASSY
When traveling abroad your embassy can be a good source of help if you ever find yourself in a bad situation. For example if due to extreme weather conditions the embassy can and will help with evacuations. However in order to receive this help the embassy or consulates would need to know where you are. For this reason it is suggested that if one is traveling abroad by themselves that they register with the local embassy or consulate. As such provided here is the web link for the addresses of all of the U.S. embassies that can be found abroad travel.state.gov/travel/tips/embassies.
