    • The Honolulu Marathon: Held annually on the second Sunday in December. The race draws more than 20,000 participants each year, about half to two thirds of them are from Japan.
    • The Honolulu Triathlon: Is an Olympic distance triathlon event governed by the USA Triathlon. Held annually in May since 2004.

    • The Honolulu Academy of Arts: This museum was founded in 1927 by Anna Rice Cooke and encompasses 32 galleries surrounding six courtyard gardens. The Honolulu Academy of Arts houses have one of the largest collections of Asian art in the United States.
    • Mission Houses Museum: Featuring three restored houses, a contemporary exhibit gallery and a research library provide a unique glimpse into 19th century Hawaii.

    • Aloha Tower Marketplace: Located near Aloha Tower on the downtown Honolulu waterfront is best known for several well-known restaurants, such as Gordon Biersch and Don Ho's Island Grill.
    • China Town: It is an exciting place to visit and shop during the day. The food and seafood markets are bustling. On many corners, you will find women manufacturing "Lei's"-the ornamental flowered necklace, widely popular on the island.
    • Aloha Stadium Swap Meet: Hawaii's largest swap meet. The swap meet is like a giant outdoor flea market, surrounding Aloha Stadium and features merchants offering local food items, clothing and Hawaiian souvenirs. A must visit if you are looking for budget deals.
