Copenhagen has several world class museums that boast great exhibits.
Thorvaldsens Museum: is a single-artist museum dedicated to the oeuvre of Danish neoclassic sculptor, Bertel Thorvaldsen. The museum displays a comprehensive collection of the artist's works as original plaster models used in the making to cast bronze and marble statues and more. The museum also features paintings, drawings and prints that Thorvaldsen collected during his lifetime.
National Museum of Denmark: is the largest museum of cultural history, comprising the histories of Danish and foreign cultures alike; experience 14,000 years of Danish history, from the reindeer-hunters of the Ice Age, to the voyages of the Vikings. At the National museum you can take a journey around the world from Greenland to South America.
Statens Museum for Kunst: collects, registers, maintains, researches and handles Danish and foreign art that dates back to the 12th Century and up to the present day.
Prominent Attractions:
Copenhagen has a plethora of prominent attractions.
Tivoli Gardens: is a famous amusement park and garden in Copenhagen. Tivoli is more sophisticated than an amusement park: among its attractions are a pantomime theater, an open-air stage, 38 restaurants and frequent concerts.
The Little Mermaid: sits on a rock in the Copenhagen harbor at Langelinie. This small and unimposing statue is a Copenhagen icon and major tourist attraction. The relatively small size of the statue typically surprises tourists visiting for the first time. The Little Mermaid statue is only 1.25 meters high and weighs around 175 kg.
Rundetarn: is one of Copenhagen's most iconic buildings, offering excellent views, located in the middle of the city. The Rundetarn is a cylindrical tower with alternating yellow and red bricks. Today the Rundetarn serves as an observation tower, a public observatory, an exhibit and concert venue, as well as being a historical monument.

Vesterbro: The district is located west of the city center at the location of the old Western Gate. The area has, in recent years been renovated to a great extent. Being centrally located makes it a favored place to visit. This district still has remnants from the past, but has evolved tremendously in recent years and is now one of the hippest places to live and visit with cafes and bars along Istedgade.
