L'Avion Flights

With its headquarters in Paray Vieille Poste, France, near Wissous, L'AVION (AO) was founded in 2006. Operating primarily a business-class service, it had long-haul flights from Orly Airport, Paris to Newark Liberty International Airport, United States. Sold to British Airways, this airline merged with OpenSkies, a business class airline wholly owned by British Airways.

L'AVION shuttled between two destinations. Its focus cities were Paris and Newark. Its name, L'AVION, was in fact a marketing name for Elysair SAS, the brainchild of French entrepreneur Frantz Yvelin. Offering only premium services on the Trans-Atlantic routes, its maiden flight was flown in from Paris to Newark on January 3, 2007. Known for its world-class onboard services, passengers enjoyed sumptuous French cuisine and wine while flying with L'AVION.
