weather was cool but relatively sunny-a rarity, I'm told.
friendly people in shops and restaurants
lots of homeless, with a little bit of solicitation for coins
food is generally good, but not outstanding, and pricey at most places. lots of bars with happy hours
high walkability factor
parking is a nightmare, especially metered parking. a quarter gets about 3 min., and with a two hour limit you would need about 40 quarters in your pocket.

Flights both ways were very good. I was quite pleased. I had the whole 3 seats available on the flight out, and I'm a big guy, but I know that doesn't happen often. Both flights were on time, and the pilots were good and informative. The town was terrific, and I learned that they have more sunshine than Chicago!
