Once you get away from State Route 29 which has way too much traffic on it, it is a very enjoyable city. The downtown area has a great pedestrian only area with lots of good shopping and restaurants. At one end of this mall is a venue for live music which brings great acts to town. There are lots of other clubs or coffee shops with good live music as you might imagine in a university town. All together it's a fun place to visit.
Even though Boston is a college city, it has everything to offer. It is very beautiful, full of history, shops and restaurants.
