Headquartered at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Jakarta, Garuda Indonesia (GA) is the official air carrier of Republic of Indonesia. It is a partner member of the omnipresent Sky Team Alliance and a partner of air operations with the English football club Liverpool FC. Garuda went in a goal driven aggressive rebuilding period post 2009 changing its whole facade like livery, logo and it doubled its fleet in a relatively small period of five years from 62 to 116 of in-service aircrafts. Garuda became the 20th member of the Sky Team Alliance, which opened up new markets, code share agreements, new FFP agreements and routes. The destinations served by the airline stand at 65 both domestic and international; due to its recent working alliances 140 new destinations opened up to Garuda International.
Classes of Service
First Class: The luxurious experience of flying first class with Garuda begins before even getting on the plane, a limousine pick up, VIP lounge indulgence complete with spa treatments, bar, food and cigar rooms. Inside the aircraft seats based on a 1-2-1 configuration complete with plush ergonomic seats, fully flat bed, electronic controls, room dividers, 24" AVOD flat screens, personal wardrobe, storage space, toiletries, internet connectivity and much more.
Executive Class: Completely reclining, flat bed seats are provided for business class passengers on Garuda. Adjustable headrests, reading lamps, 42" of seat pitch and power sockets for your devices among other services make the executive flying experience a seamless one.
Economy Class: Even in the economy class, the chairs are ergonomically designed for best comfort and spacious leg room of 30" - 35" is provided. Each seat is equipped with 9" personal AVOD In-Flight Entertainment unit.
During the course of the flight a variety of entertainment on personal AVOD system is available on demand. 25 music channels, 9 radio channels, 60 movies and over 50 popular T.V. shows are available to keep the customer engrossed and happy.
Garuda offers Immigration on board (IOB), a special service provided by Garuda Indonesia to provide more convenience for the passengers travelling to Indonesia. Passengers on certain long haul flights can complete their immigration process on board the aircraft before disembarking. Availing this service keeps the load off the passengers mind of waiting in long queues at the immigration counter.
Passengers using online check-in on Garuda International can check-in and pre book their seats at least one hour before departure time for domestic flights and two hours prior to departure for international flights. Avoid long queues and check-in hassle free.
