5 I loved Izmir

Selcuk is very nice city and close to the touristic attractions -   Aug 07, 2014

5 Ephesus- A Must See

We flew to Izmir and drove down to Ephesus (in Selcuk). We'd been before years ago, but they continue excavating and improving the site. I still prefer the less touristed sites like Pirea and Termessos, but Ephesus is still a must see. Izmir is a huge town, so we didn't even go into it. Selcuk is a small town that is very walkable. Nice downtown section with a roman aqueduct and an Ottoman fortress on the hill overlooking the town. Only worth one day, however. -   Jul 03, 2014
